I don't know about biology. Nor ID. But Kurt Wise is a full blown young earth creationist. He got his Ph.D in paleontology at Harvard under Gould. He is fairly well known. Richard Dawkins has a few ad hominems for him out on the web somewhere.

1 – Number of scientists in the Department of Biology at Lehigh University who endorse intelligent design. That person is Dr. Michael Behe. The rest of the department has publicly declared on the official departmental web site that intelligent design is not science.

0 – Total number of scientific papers that are published in peer-reviewed professional scientific journals, report an original scientific experiment, and interpret the results as support for Intelligent Design, as of June 2006.

Take a few seconds to email the guys on the list the Christians post. It is easy to get University researchers addresses. You usually find their position isn't really pro ID at all. If they really were, they would post links to things written by them, not just a long list of names.

For Thumb - you say some of your church members have degrees, but do you know they believe in ID?

Jimbo - and the religious are the ones continuing to say the earth is 6000 years old and who tell their members to refuse blood transfusions. That's religion for ya.

At least scientists learn from observations.
