Hi, I think someone is winding you up! I don't think you have to worry, because your licence is cleared of points after 4 years. I can't think why US customs would possibly be interested in your driving licence, unless you have an arrest record. good luck

Moby above is right... I don't think you need worry - at least not going by my own experiences. In 1969, along with around 10 other drivers in a stream of traffic, I went through a newly designated 30 limit at around 40. Anyway, my licence was endorsed. Yet one year later I had a multi entry visa for the USA. Although that has now expired, I still go regularly to visit my American family members and, so far, the US authorities have not refused me entry to their country. On the 90 day visa waiver form, which you as a UK citizen will be required to fill in prior to landing in the USA, the questions on the form do not ask if you have been convicted of a pathetically minor traffic offence eons ago. (The waiver form questions are aimed at finding out if you intend to usurp the government of the USA, or if you are or have have been a member of the Communiust Party!) Enjoy your trip....

My wife was rejected from the US over a dodgey visa thing and has been told the same thing about going to London or Belfast before getting in even for a holiday 8 years later! Apparently its a bit easier to cross the border form Canada. But if i were you i would go to the embassy as its just not worth getting deported for.

in case you get stuck utilizing, the vehicle will be seized (your dad ought to ought to pay to get it lower back) and also you'll be prosecuted for utilizing with out a utilizing licence and coverage which may be an exceptional and between 6-11 factors on your licence - this signifies that once you're criminal to stress (that's in problem-free words a remember of months when you're 16) you isn't able to get coverage becuase the fee will be too intense (penalty factors favor to be declared to coverage organizations for 5 years). As you do not have permission to take your dads vehicle, you'd be arrested for TWOC (Taking with out proprietor's Consent). in case your dad tells the police that he did provide you permission to stress then he will be prosecuted for permitting you to stress it with out coverage and a licence. once you've an coincidence, then you will be in even extra difficulty! So it truly is time to end taking your dads vehicle for a spin - i comprehend it truly is demanding yet wait till you're the right age to do it legally or get your self a moped (that you'll legally experience at 16). purely be grateful that you've been fortunate adequate to interrupt out with it so some distance.

I suggest you go to the interview like you were instructed. Why compound your problems by trying to sneak into the country illegally? I don't know about the UK, but our jail system is not a country club.

Hi I had a TS10 (failing to comply with a red traffic light) which i picked up in 1998, i went to Orlando 2 years ago and it wasn't a problem in fact it wasn't even mentioned when i picked up the hire car, in fact i was the main driver. I recon your best bet is to talk to your travel agent, are you going with Virgin? they are extremely help full and will bend over backwards to help you, hope that helps and enjoy your trip..

The United States is currently in hysteria over illegal immigration. I caution you strongly about getting entangled with the system. It is completely out of control in this day and age.

I dont believe that is correct. 9 years would count as a spent conviction for most purposes.
