Post an edit with the number he is calling from. I will be able to tell you more with that. (PS- He may also get some fun calls from some of the other people on here, but what do you care)

Personally, I would change my number. First of all, you should report harrassment to the police. Also, get caller I.D. so you can tell who it is and if you should pick it up. Other then that, be careful, aware of your surroundings at all times, always travel with at least one friend during night. The police might not be of much help so you have to be your own police. If you feel something is bad with a situation, get out. Someone following you? Go into a store, make a lot of noise, or quickly go to a populated area. I'm not trying to scare you, but just be careful. Good luck and stay safe.

Contact your service provider. There is very likely a department to deal with this ~ and they treat this sort of thing 'very' seriously today.
Simply 'Blocking the number' he's calling from may be insufficient, depending on circumstances, so they or the police can advise you.
Sash.

Most anonymous callers withhold their number so he must be a bit thick! You can get your phone company to bar calls to you from his number but he may then ring you from a payphone. Tell the police and change your number.

either have him blocked as described above or report it to the police. Personally, I would do both. If he rings in the mean time, just explain that you are going to report him for harrasment immediatly and then say nothing else. Just hang up when ever he calls.

i donot know what type of telephone equipment you are using, and type of option you service provider provides you with, you can try out one or all the methods as suits you:
1. landline: use caller id. instrument with answering device, and program it accept call at the first ring.this makes him pay for every call/attempt (s)he makes. it should cost him to call you.should your friends call you still have time to answer
2.landline: transfer incoming call to another tel.number preferably disconnected/non-operational number.hope you don't have to pay for the transfered call.check this out and act suitably.
3.mobile / cell phone: since you know caller's number program your phone to divert the call to help line of the service provider (your tormentor's).
finally one observation: i also use to get such calls, and on one fine day it stopped.most of the time this type nuisance stops eventually if you ignore it long enough.your annoyance/irritation is what drives caller to make frivolous call.
good luck

If he calls you again, blow a whistle very hard down the phone, that should put him in hospital for a while.
