there are over 480,000 scientists working in earth and life sciences in the US, less than 700 say I.D. or creationism is a valid theory. This means that over 99.8% REJECT creationism and I.D. yet even with this astounding percentage, around 40% of the US feels that creationism and I.D. should still be taught in schools. So it seems that the more someone knows about science, the LESS likely they are to believe in creationism and I.D......maybe we should send all of these wackos to college level science courses?

The truly sad thing is that people who believe in this garbage will be more than happy to point to and list the VERY few scientists that they receive their information from, yet they are too inept to look at the FACT that of these scientists who work on creationism and I.D., they are a VERY small percentage. THERE ARE EVEN MORE SCIENTISTS WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE LAWS OF GRAVITY, THAN SCIENTISTS WHO SUPPORT I.D. AND CREATIONISM RESEARCH!!! To those few who still support these utterly RIDICULOUS theories, I would encourage them to read things other than the Bible and creationist "science" (it is NOT science and 72 Nobel Laureates have proven this). If you disagree, perhaps you can tell me why you are smarter than 72 Nobel Laureates COMBINED?

Hey MAINWORRY (answer below), please take the advice of Carl Sagan, a man who knows a LOT more about the subject than you do, "“it is far better to grasp the universe as it really is, than to persist in delusion”. Your final comment shows your obvious willingness to ignore reality, you finish with "Reject is right. Therefore they reject god and eternal life".....Is this the only reason you "accept" god? So that you can "have" eternal life? Be honest, you know very well (and it is obvious through this statement and your poor use of logic), that you only accept creationism and the bible because you are scared about what happens after you die, and your religion gives you this comfortable little bubble in which you can put all of your faith and have a blanket answer for every question that makes your head hurt, (ie: God did it!)

Only a couple of people seem to have read your question. No I have not heard from any I.D. or creation advocates in R&S who have life sciences degrees or degrees of any sort. If there are any I hope they step up to be counted.

I actually met one once. She had a masters in Molecular Genetics. It was a weird conversation.

She openly admitted the two were inconsistent. I really couldn't figure out how she got through the program or more to the point, why she wanted to. And I asked a lot of questions. It really sounded like she just took the tests and answered in ways that she didn't believe were right.

Not that I know of, but the guy who answered my question earlier said evolution wasn't true because of physics, go figure out that one.

Wait I did some research and found this one guy
Richard Durtsche is an assistant professor of biology at NKU and also a Christian Church of Disciples of Christ minister.
However it does not state if he got his degree from the Bahamanian school of ID biology or not.

Wish you could meet them. Our Church has numerous scientists from Roche and Dow. Not to mention Lilly. A number of them have a Masters degrees.

Roche Diagnostics
Lilly Pharmaceuticals
Dow Agrosciences

I love all the list posting, as if science can somehow be decided by vote counting. For those of you who think that these lists of scientists who are creationists are somehow convincing evidence, please check out project steve (a parody of such lists). This is a list of currently 800 scientists who believe in evolution (and they're all called steve).

Wow, did you notice how many reacted as though you were attacking or mentioned people who didn't meet your conditions, or were so eager for 'support' that they enlisted mechanical engineers and physicists (wtf does that have to do with evolution, I ask, and since it has nothing, why the heck do their opinions count for crap? Would you trust a Geologist to perform your open heart surgery?), or thumped their Bible at you?

As far as I can see, only one person answered (heck, even this isn't an answer -- just a rehash of otherwise observable details).

MAINWORRY....AMEN BROTHER! Your first sentence summed it up beautifully!
Praise God!

as a added note, by most scientists rejection creationism, it only further proves the Truth of Jesus' words ... Wide is the path to destruction (hell) and narrow is the path to heaven.
