If you had one day to ski south of Montreal, would you choose Mont Sutton or Jay Peak, VT??

Forgetting about price and the border ... just compare the skiing.

Mount Sutton is cool, my husband says who skied there fifty years ago and was a slalom expert back then, He grew up close to there. have fun and a happy season.

My money would be on Sutton, for a couple of reasons.

First of all, it's slightly easier to get to (assuming you're already on the Canadian side of the border!). Second, the weather tends to keep the hill from being icy - unlike Jay, where ice and thick crust is the norm.

On the down side, the runs are not quite as numerous or as long as those at Jay.
