Just type equal sign then the cells that you want to add together separated by the plus sign.

With data in Cells A2 and B2,
in Cell C2 you would enter an = sign
click the button to the left for the command SUM
in the parenthesis, you would enter A2+B2

on the formula line you would see
=SUM(A2+B2)

The value would appear in Cell C2

My opinion, you need some books. Try www.amazon.com. Look for the link for books, then select used books. I have purchased a lot of used books here and all I have gotten so far have been in excellent or like new condition, and, the price is right!
