Before becoming a Christian, I became an agnostic (during my teen years.) After a few members of my family found faith, my dad and I would have religious debates with them, asking all the usual questions agnostics always ask Christians: What makes you think YOU'RE right and everyone else is wrong? Who says the Eastern religions don't have the truth? Can you prove to me that there's a God? etc., etc., etc.
As time passed, though, I realized there was something missing in my life and began to seek after the truth. I believe in God today because one night, at the age of 17, while lying in bed, I prayed a prayer into the air--one that I have to admit I wasn't sure I really expected to be answered: "God, IF you're there and you can really do all the things they say you can do, please come into my heart and do those things for me." Immediately upon finishing that prayer, an absolutely incomprehensible and inexpressible feeling of TOTAL peace flooded my entire being--a peace such as I had NEVER before experienced and one which I cannot to this day explain--except to say that it was a miracle.
Of course, being the agnostic that I was, I immediately began to second guess the reality of the experience, telling myself that I'd simply convinced myself that something had actually happened. Still, it had seemed so real...I then fell asleep.
The next morning, when I went downstairs, my mom asked me a question she had NEVER asked me before--It wasn't the sort of question you asked me! Very cautiously, knowing what a touchy subject religion was for me, she asked, "Did you receive the Lord?" and made a most interesting statement afterward: "You look like you did." (What does one look like who has just received the Lord? I can only say that that, too, was a miracle!) Yet, I felt as if I'd been caught red handed! There was no way for her to know what I'd done the night before! That simply amazed me, since I'd awakened feeling a little silly about my prayer and God's obvious response and totally doubting the reality of the experience. I told her I HAD accepted the Lord, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
When my dad heard the news, he began to say such things as, "Hello, CHRISTIAN!" whenever he saw me. He had lost his most staunch anti-religious ally! But, do you know what? I have NEVER regretted the decision I made that night, and God has made Himself ever more real in my life through the years. He is WONDERFUL, and I would NEVER take back the decision I made at age 17, though now I am 54! (Later, my dad also came to know the Lord!)

I was raised in a christian home, praise God for that! And I became born again around the age of 9...but I did not start to truly understand the things of God until I was older...And then moved to the meat of His word, and Him drawing me closer- definatley all Him! I poured out my heart to Him about 4 years ago and that is when I felt the veil reall lifted off my face...like He was ready to show me those "Great and unsearchable things I did not know" as Jeremiah 33:3 says - one of my favorite scriptures! And I long to live for Him and raise my children to know Him...He is all that matters- and I hope and pray I can live to glorify Him in all I do...of course with HIS HELP, because I fail so many times!! But I know with Him I do have the victory- So Amen to that!!

Contacting me, sharing and showing me John 17:3.
3. I studied, made the scriptual required changes, dedicated my life to do Gods will and got baptized. A personal decision based on accurate knowledge.

It's a process over time, it's not going to happen overnight. But there are steps to take. First pray and ask the Father into your heart (mind) and life. Ask for change of you. Ask for guidance and direction. Ask for forgiveness of your sins. Do all this in Jesus name (authority).
Come to the reality that as long as you dwell in the flesh body you are going to fall short. All are sinners. Repentance is a change of mind not a license to sin. Perfection is maturity or full age in His Word. We are to produce fruit and glorify Christ.
His Word is an life learning process. Trust this man or no man unless you check it out in His Word. I've been at it earnestly for 16 years. I'm producing fruit but feel I'm still in the process. Don’t clean house (clean up your act) without filling that void with the Word of God.
Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
Luke 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
By the way, born again means born from above, check it out.

I was raised in the Christian faith and then as I got older I grew into the Christian faith, and then I accepted the Christian faith as the faith I want to revolve my life around.

I did a simple prayer that is derived from a bible scripture.
Dear Lord, I'm a sinner, but you died for sinners. I believe that your son Jesus gave his life for my sins. Come into my heart and save me from the sinful life that I have led. Teach me your ways that I might lead the life that you have called for me to lead...In Jesus' name...Amen.
And that's how I became a Christian.

if u acknowledge u have made mistakes (sinned) and ask for GOD to forgive you and believe he will forgive you, and believe he is there, and believe if you give your troubles to him he will take care of them, BELIEVE and have FAITH in GOD you will see that he takes pride in taking your load... this is what I did... I promise it works
