I tend to agree with you although God doesn't need anyone to be concerned on his behalf when you have scheisters like them. Remember the old woman in the Temple who gave her last penny? The Temple was pretty crooked by then too but, God didn't say not to give. He knows whats up and all good things come from God so the people who get taken because they acted on faith still will receive because it was faith that caused them to give and God will make sure they are taken care of some way. We can only be responsible for us and not the other guy so if they rip people off we can trust God to make it right with those people.

They are slick, often great orators or just good politicians...they convince followers that when they give money, it's going to help poor people, or going to help spread the ministry. They are good at convincing followers that those private jets and opulent thousand-acre 'ministry centers' and fancy suits are all tools of evangelism, necessary to spread the good word. They only take for themselves what is absolutely required, and the rest goes to the poor and unsaved - this is what they say, and people who have a strong need to believe, do believe.
What makes me sickest is the hypocrisy when one does fall - not that he fell, but in the way he is treated compared to one not in the ministry. For example, when some famous entertainer (no name mentioned) who is homosexual gets caught committing a sexual-type crime in public, we will hear endless preachy stories about how bad they are and see?? didn't we warn you they were morally bankrupt? etc. But when Ted Haggard or Jim Bakker or whoever else commits a sin, many Christians are all about mercy, judge not, God still loves him, let's get him some help, we still love him, etc.
I'd be much more apt to believe Jim Bakker really redeemed himself if he was NOT getting back on TV. People who are truly humble do not call their publicists and crawl back on the airwaves.

The bible said:
1 Timothy 4:1 However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons, 2Â by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in their conscience as with a branding iron; 3Â forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who have faith and accurately know the truth.
2 Corinthians 4:3Â If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4Â among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.
2 Peter 2:12Â But these [men], like unreasoning animals born naturally to be caught and destroyed, will, in the things of which they are ignorant and speak abusively, even suffer destruction in their own [course of] destruction, 13Â wronging themselves as a reward for wrongdoing.
They consider luxurious living in the daytime a pleasure. They are spots and blemishes, indulging with unrestrained delight in their deceptive teachings while feasting together with YOU. 14Â They have eyes full of adultery and unable to desist from sin, and they entice unsteady souls. They have a heart trained in covetousness. They are accursed children. 15Â Abandoning the straight path, they have been misled. They have followed the path of Ba′laam, [the son] of Be′or, who loved the reward of wrongdoing, 16Â but got a reproof for his own violation of what was right. A voiceless beast of burden, making utterance with the voice of a man, hindered the prophet’s mad course.

there r some "evangelists" like that, but there r many that r really great Godly people who r honestly trying to spread the Word of God and happen to be awesome speakers, but the money they make goes to charities and u can tell it by their lives.

Its really fulfilling prophecy in a way...jesus said there would be false teachers performing great signs and wonders and yet he will say to them "get away from me you workers of lawlessness" These peopleare fraudsters but people are so gullible wanting to see miracles instead of reading the one miracle that is so easily available..THE BIBLE

Some people like to let others do the thinking for them. They are too lazy to continue their spiritual growth so they let someone else tell them what to believe. And in the process shell out money.

What is it the bible says about this generation wanting to have their ears tickled? Most people are seriously too lazy to study to show theirselves approved, a workman who needs not to be ashamed.
