Loop 101 speeding reduced since cameras activated

SCOTTSDALE - Lead-footed drivers have been easing off the gas since Scottsdale's speed cameras began flashing drivers zipping along the city's 7.8-mile slice of Loop 101 at 76 mph or more.
Cars have been nabbed going as fast as 98 mph since Scottsdale began its nine-month test program earlier this week.
The number of speeders has declined dramatically since the project began Sunday, when cameras snapped 1,733 drivers. Since then, the number of speeders has remained below 800, with 766 on Wednesday, 548 on Tuesday, and 741 on Monday. Officials initially expected to catch more than 3,000 speeding drivers a day.
Scottsdale installed the cameras on its stretch of Loop 101 to rein in speeders, some driving as fast as 127 mph.
Verified violators receive warning letters until Feb. 22. After that the system will trigger citations averaging $157. Scottsdale receives $42 for operational, court and police costs.
Officials say even though some drivers evade the cameras because they are driving under 76 mph, they can still be cited by Arizona Department of Public Safety and Scottsdale police officers for exceeding the freeway's 65 mph top speed.
If there was as much outcry for the Americans breaking our laws maybe I could get your point. Do you think these people are not hurting anybody? Or how about our insurance rates here... and I didn't ask for and don't want your forgivness.

I wish that people would define their terms when asking a question like this. I don't support illegally crossing the boarders or illegally overstaying a visa. I am against mass deportations of illegals already here. I've for providing a path to legal status. That would entail an criminal background check, just as it does now.
Focusing on the word "illegal" is in most cases hypocritical. The suggestion is that the person criticizing illegal aliens have not committed a crime. I'm not talking about a felony such rape, robbery or murder. Legally speaking, illegal presence is a civil crime closer to a traffic ticket than an aggravated felony.
I'm in favor of what many call amnesty because I know people who have been here illegally for years while the government essentially looked the other way. I know them to be decent, hard working people. If someone has not been convicted of a felony then they should be given a chance to become legal.

Reality seems to be missing in their lives. They think they have the right to pick and choose the laws they wish to obey. They ignore the laws against illegal aliens and they don't mind breaking all the others.Driving without a license, working under a phony Social Security card or a stolen identity .They break all of those laws. But that's OK ,they are looking for a "better life".Bull Sh** They want a better life alright ,but its at the expenses of the legal Americans better life.
No thanks,I'm anti illegal alien and I will do everything in my power to stop this tidal wave of lawbreakers.
No amnesty under any guise.

Some polisci I agree with your expressed ideal but I also agree that the evidence for the support of illegals is flawed or non existent. There is no good coming from the illegal immigration to the US only bad. Legal immigration does do some good for the country.

Why can't you people see the real issue here? You piss and moan about illegal immigration. When that is how many of "you" came here. Unless you are Native American (like me) Then your ancestors were wetbacks too! Only you are European Wetbacks. The issue is population versus natural resources. Finite natural resources, mixed with infinite population expansion, It doesn't work! DUH! Ultimately someone must go without, when there is not enough to go around. And I don't want to hear how incredulous everyone is about this! Not when American Corporations encourage them to come here. Homeless people SELL their identities to them. Thiefs steal identities, and sell them to them. All they want is a better life, just like your Eurpoean Wetbacks ancestors wanted back in the day. Now, I'm not full Native American, I have European ******* in me too. I guess that gives me the abilty to see both sides.

Wow...it's really shocking to me that anyone would support ILLEGAL immigration. What justification is there for supporting this?
Do those people also support theft?

You forgive us for disagreeing with you? Hmmm..ummm..I rather find that kinda...well...I think no one has to 'forgive' me, or anyone else for that matter, for just disagreeing with that particular person.
Now back to you question.
Just like you are 'voicing' your opinion we are 'voicing' ours. Each person can have their own opinion, I respect that. But let me tell you something, you don't have to like my opinion and neither do I have to like yours. You can think my opinion is wrong and guess what? I can also think your opinion is wrong. Fair, isn't it?

Foxy you really are rude and need to understand I am married and support immigration(all), no ones in my pants. You are so miserable it looks as that may be a good idea for you to do and release some of that built up frustration you have.

Followers of the fallen angel? So people who disagree with you worship satan? You're not insane at all.
Some laws are so unjust that they must be broken. Just think where civil rights would be if people didn't break unjust laws.
Just because you say we're wrong doesn't make it so.
