Has anyone used a fitness chain called Anytime Fitness? What did you like or dislike?

There is a new one in my neighborhood. It is very small so I can't imagine you could get through your workout quickly if very many people were there. But it is very convienient to my house.

My wife and I are members since last April and use it almost daily. Often times we go at 5:00am so we don't see to many other folks, on occasion we will stop by after work. 5:00pm and there is a brisk turnover of members and yes the cardio machines are busy. What we have been doing is visiting some of the other clubs in the area, that is supposed to be part of your membership.... ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, make sure you have them clarify that part of your agreement. We have a terrific club not far from our home club which has great equipment, lots of space but the owners won't allow you to visit more than 4 times a month. Its simple to transfer your home membership to another club but we have decided not to do that as it seems that this club is not living up to the Anytime fitness promise of ANYTIME, ANYWHERE. Other than that little problem it really does work, just make sure you clean your machine when your done and put away the weights after you've used them...

My best friend and her husband are both personal trainers and they work out of an Anytime Fitness. I have no personal experience, but talking to them, they LOVE it. They say it is so great because of the 24-hour thing... and they really like the company...
