Sometimes it can be hard to make sweeping changes in your lifestyle all at once. Try making one change and sticking with it for a week. Then add another change. For example, if you eat an unhealthy breakfast (doughnuts or sugary snacky stuff or even NO breakfast), switch over to something healthy and low-fat. Don't change anything else in your life. Do this for a week. Then the next week walk 20 minutes before you go to work. Don't change anything else except eating a healthy breakfast and walking 20 minutes. The third week, try something else - either more exercise, different exercise, like pumping iron, or changing what you eat for dinner.
Try to get more exercise throughout the day. Take the stairs, park far away in the parking lot, walk part way when you get off the streetcar, whatever. Do stretches and pump iron while watching T.V. Anything to keep moving.
Small changes can add up to big changes in habits over time. You don't have to change everything at once if you feel overwhelmed. Start small.

Yes, try to buy a really cute and sexy outfit but in a smaller size and hang it up on you bedroom door for you can see it every morning and it should motivate you to loose weight and get healthy. Plus loosing weight with friends or a workout buddy will motivate you to loose weight.

i completely understand how you feel. Just two years ago i weighed 368lb. And this was at the age of 16. Can you believe that? My motivation came from the death of a close family member. i had to take it upon myself to lose it. Because of the hig risk of diebeties in my family i knew that i wanted to live a long healthy life. i excersized 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes and i am proud to say today that i now weigh 210lbs. i suprised myself how much i lost. The best thing you can do is you have to set a goal( i know you have heard this a million times but guess what.........it works) and work toward it. My goal was to wiegh less than 250lbs by graduation. i so proud of myself when i did it. YOU have to realize that its not going to just happen you have to do it yourself. I hope my sucess story can motivate you. And remember only you can make it happen!!!!

the first thing is you have to really want to change if you don't really want to their is nothing that is going to help everyone in the world could write to you and tell you how to lose weight but unless you really want to do it for yourself then nothing anyone says is going to make a difference good luck
what you need to do is first start walking at 5 miles a day that is about 1 1/2 hrs at a quick pace then change the way you eat. like if you eat two meals a day you need to change that to 5 meals a day
just a suggestion of a meal
breakfast four eggs whites or 1/2 a bagel with lite cream cheese
snack carrots
lunch a sandwich with maybe a handful of chips
snack apple
dinner small portions of meat veggies and maybe salad with a little dressing
you can still go to Burger king just limit yourself to one a month and you will start to see a difference inthe way your clothes fit you want to loss the weight slow that way it stays off

Just a few suggestions...
1.Get a treadmill and an MP3 player and put some intense workout songs on it. Music motivates.
2. If your looking for a fun way to do it get as PS2 and a DDR game. It's lots of fun and good for you.
3. Go to the gym with friends... I hate to work out but... going with friends motivates you.

The first step is to start. Start exercising. Start changing your diet. Just do it for one month. Once you see results you'll be plenty motivated.
During that month you must be honest and not cheat.
Other than that you need to find those things that motivate you. Maybe you should have taped that episode. Try DiscoveryHealth channel if you get it. There's lots of "I lost a buttload" shows.
Pick up health magazines.
Buy a pair of pants just a tiny little bit tight. Try them on in two weeks.
You have to find what works for you, but the key is to start. Once you do that and start to see the smallest results you'll press yourself harder and harder.

Sometimes you have to do it and see the results first before you can get really motivated. Im not overweight, but have strayed from my preferred weight, and when I work out and see how good I look in my fave jeans, or experience the good feeling that comes from working out regularly, that motivates me to keep it up.

This is how I do it. I normally want to loose weight because I want to wear some revealing clothes that only certain people can. I hang the outfit in my kitchen next to the junk food. So each time I want junk food I see the outfit. If you want to take my approach you can take a picture of the outfit you want to wear and put it in your wallet. That way each time you open it to buy fast food or junk food you can question whether you should eat it or not.

Its extremely tough to get motivated and stay motivated at the beginning stages of working out. But believe me, keep doing it, and when you eventually begin to see your body change for the better, that is all the motivation you will ever need.
