If so, what kind/color? I HAVE used the over the couter RID...etc... many times already. It is not working. Yes I spend 4 hours a night picking out eggs. I have tried Mayo, Olive oil, vinegar, vaseline. Nothing works. I have tried dog/flea shampoo. And yes I am cleaning EVERYTHING. The hair dye is the only thing i haven't tried but I keep hearing about it.

I have already been to the doctor and gotten a prescription. It didn't work! I do use the comb. This is on both my daughters hair. Its torturing them. Poor girls...

You need to cut your hair and their hair as short as possible. Then you need to go through their hair with the comb and take out as much as you can. After that, put the treatment on their heads and yours. Vacuum your ENTIRE house, wash all your bedding, and spray down your mattresses with the special spray they have for lice. Also vacuum your car, wash all clothes, and put all stuffed animals in air tight baggies and spray them down as well. After a week, take them out and wash them. Lice is a b*tch.

I read that cetaphil lotion was good for treating lice....but I see that you have basically tried everything so I'm not sure what to tell you.

Could it be re- infestation? Maybe after one of the treatments you could spray that stuff from RID that is suppose to repel lice on the kids' hair so they don't catch it from friends until everybody has taken care of the lice.

Sorry-

Good luck.

No. it kills NEITHER! Not the lice and not the eggs. Either shave your head, and start over... or get the lice treatment....

And for Pete's sake don't forget to vaccume very well, wash all your bedding, stuffed animals, and pretty much all your clothes. Anywhere that you have been in your house, your room, your car... they could still possible be.

try Blonde, it burn them or try to get them to lay in the bath tub for a few hours, but make sure that the hair is completly under water eventually it will drownd them and they will float to the surface of the water. But dye is REALLY bad for your hair. But not as bad as lice i guess. but try the water thing, get the water as HOT as they can stand it and just let the hair soak, or you can CUt it all off because if you do that they will have no were to live and will die.

There is no evidence that hair color will kill lice. It may be best to call your doctor and ask that he/she call in a prescription for you.
