UMmmmm, tell your parents. Yea they'll yell you'll get grounded but you did lose it. You should take what you got coming to you like a grown up (I POD NANO kinda high tech for kids isn't it?) If you start lying to your parents now, it will only get easier and then they won't be able to protect you from what they don't know. SO I say step up to the plate and admit what happened and then have them help you with the YMCA police suggestion that I saw on here. Don't call the PD yourself because they won't take you seriously and they MAY call your parents.

at the ymca they have a number that u can call and all ipods have a police sercity on them if they are lost or stolen just tell them u lost ur ipod and if u have a witness u will get a new ipod

try to find it like try to remeber where u lost it if u can't find it then save money...and through out when your saving money and your parents ask u where the i-pod is say dat its at school or somewhere else....then when you have enough money then buy the i-pod

when i was 15 i took my dads camera to school and he was super pissed because i broke it and didnt' tell him...
i was grounded forever becuae i lied about it
i'm 21 now...i'd just tell them

Just tell them. You didn't lose it on purpose. They are going to be unhappy about it, but not as angry as if you didn't tell them the truth.
