The Quran teaches that women are to be treated as a possession, like cow, donkey, camel, car etc and not as an equal to men. Muslim men are allowed, under Islamic Law, to have 4 wives. Women do not have any rights to their husband's property when he dies.

I think the real question is about the role of women, period. A man, regardless of his religion, will exploit women if he doesn't belong to a culture that absolutely won't tolerate it. He will manipulate the Bible, the Qur'an, or even science to justify his actions.

Patriarchy exists at some level in every male-driven religion to the extent that it is allowed. Let's remember that women only got the right to vote in this righteous, equality-loving, Christian country *sarcasm* in 1920 and we still only earn seventy cents on the dollar compared to men in the same position. And don't get me started on domestic violence and rape in this country.

The problem isn't Islam or even Christianity. There are ways to interpret both the Bible and the Qur'an in ways that are uplifting to women. The problem lies within the society or culture that condones an atmosphere of inequality or abuse towards women by not actively working against it.

were did you find this.
Muslim women have right, they are not possessions, Muslims were the ones to clear women from being slaves.
they were the first to allow them to vote. And they had there own property.
women have the most important role in Islam and that is raising the children and teaching them to be good and follow Islam.
and it is taught to there children that, Heaven is under the feet of you mother, first you must lesson and obey your mother then your father.
Men are only supposed to marry more then once if there is sufficient reason, and must be able to provide the exact same for each wife. not because he feels like it.

To be there for my husband. To take care of my children. To take care of my mom and family. To take care of my businesses that I own with my husband. To take care of my home. To hang out with my friends.
I have the same role as most other women. I am a wife, daughter and mother.
My husband has never laid a hand on me. I am respected by him and everyone in his family. My husband is allowed to have up to 4 wives, but there are exceptions to that rule and any woman can have it written in her marriage contract that her husband may not remarry. When my husband dies, I am entitled to his property.

You're wrong. A woman, in Islam, has more rights than women did in the Bible. Women are allowed to own their own property, and it took four witnesses in those days to punish a woman for adultery.

Also, women could file for divorce in Islam and could marry outside of their religion (versus Christianity). Men could only have more than one wife if the population was threatened (during wartime, disease, etc.)

The important thing to remember is that in the times that the Bible and Qu'ran were written, women had very few rights period.
