I'm right behind her (50) and I asked my daughter to make me something with her own hands. I miss the silly, cheezy things she used to do for me for gifts when she was small and I treasure every one of them. (She is 20 now)

A big HUG and either tell her or write her a letter expressing your feelings in such a way that she will treasure that letter forever. Oh yeah you could give her made up gift cards that say " This card is entiltled to one phone call a week" Keep in touch with your Mom, that could be the Christmas present ever. I know when one is young one has a tendency to forget his Mom. Thats sad and breaks her heart.
