Talk to some gallery owners or art dealers. Maybe consider donating one (or more?) to charity (tax write-offs).

And don't knock eBay - you can get some great sales there (both selling & buying).

Research Joe Moran to get an idea of what his pieces are selling for. Then you know how to handle the art and have knowledge before entering the art market. Most galleries sell on consignment with anywhere from 30 - 50% commission on sale price. You can name your price and see if they sell without a loss if they don't. Hope they are worth enough for you to get a good profit.

The best market for Joe Moran would be along the Gulf Coast where he worked. Biloxi, New Orleans. See the galleries linked to the url provided.

Find an art gallery that will take them and sell them for you on consignment, but get them appraised first. The art gallery will probably charge you a commission of 5-20% , depending on their value, etc. Usually if they can't sell them, then you pay nothing.

Call a reputable dealer and ask who would be best to deal with. They have a network for this type of thing.
