First, educate people that religion is superstition. As soon as we lessen the amount of religious superstition in the world, the faster we can make the world a better place.

If you believe in a religious superstition that thinks the world is going to end soon, there is little incentive to make it last longer or help the environment.

Be kind and caring and help our fellow neighbour. We can look after the environment by reusing plastic bags until we run out or use reusable calico bags. Make up our own compost food with food scraps. Recycle as much as possible. Plant trees for wildlife ..Teach our children to respect and care for the environment.

The rich parents need to give up the kid. Also helping out & volunteering at local shelters and homeless animal places will help.

Have more respect for each other and for all forms of life. Compasion can't be limited to an occasional moment of remorse, an occasional respite from the raging war to subdue nature and to subdue each other. Compasion is the path to greatness for all humans and can save the planet along the way.

We have to re-think our 'struggle for survival' way of thinking. Sure its hard-wired into our cave-man brain but we have to wake up to the reality that we can now easily produce enough food and shelter for all existing humans, its all the unecessary extras that we so agressively fight for that cause such disastrous consequences.

Compasion cannot be confined to sermons and discusions of spirituality. It has to made part of our daily lives. Constraint needs to replace the 'maximization of profit' model which is so deeply embedded into our culture. To many this is unthinkable but we must wake up to reality. We live in a finite world.

Compasion must exist in the business world and in each consumer's mind. We must wake up to the reality that our toys and 'labour saving' devices are killing us both slowly and quickly. Not to mention that our aggressive efforts to sell an ever increasing number of those very toys are adding unnecessarily to our stress and unhappiness. Stress is also very unhealthy.

A greater emphasis on physical health instead of acquiring wealth will also help a great deal in liberating our minds and attitudes, not to mention the INCREASED enjoyment of our lives that good physical health inevitably brings.

Mental, physical, spiritual and environmental health all revolve around compasion and around each other.
