maybe he thought you accidently left it on the dresser and he didn't want you to lose it? I mean, if he gave it back to you and has never taken from you before I wouldn't say thats a reason not to trust him. But why was he in your room....

i visit't believe all people with a shred of sophistication would telephone you many times "day out" your father about something that ought to have befell years before you've been born (perhaps before he and your mom were married!). because you locate her as a lady and in no way a 'female'. i imagine you possibility hurting your mom by going to her. provide your dad achievable (no longer only a short telephone call) to inform you the situations of your sister's beginning, why he did not carry her into the relations. He advantages that. And once you've talked to him ask about speaking on your mom about it.

Did he say why he took it? Maybe he just wanted you to spend it wisely. I don't know your age, but I really don't believe he was taking the money for his own purpose. If that were the case he would not have told you he had the money. Please in life there are already few people that we can put trust into, Don't give up on your Dad. I'm sure he has a good reason for taking the money

How old are you? If you are over 18, change your accounts to YOUR NAME ONLY. Leave a friend that is trustworthy as your beneficiary.

If he's stealing your cash from the house, you need to hide it and start looking for another place to live.

Eh, I wouldn't let it get to you. He probably took the money in so nobody else would take it or so it wouldn't get lost or pushed under a dreser in a dusty corner. Ask him about it. If it doesn't go well or you are still suspecious you could always sue somehow lol

He told you he had it, no trust issue there, he is probably just trying to make sure you are making good money decisions, that's part of a father's duty to his children.

additional detail:
None of us knows the details of your relationship. When my teens got a job, I took half of their money on payday and set it aside for them. When they graduated and left home, they had a nice chunk of change to take with them.

Sounds more like your dad is just trying to keep you from doing something bad with your money so he wants to hold on to it.
If he admits that he has it when you asked. I dont see any reason why he would be untrust worty.
Sounds to me like he knows you alot better than you know him.

ummmmm... well my dad has not done that to me before, but you should maybe work out the problem..... i know it might seem corny to do it, but it really helps to understand what he is really doing. i mean you don't want this to keep going and it ruins Christmas. Hope everything goes alright!

If your father was trying to rip you off why would he have told you he had your money?
maybe he was making sure it was in a safe place.
