American policy makes extremely hard for university educated persons to work in the U.S. in their profession while turning a blind eye to illerate hispanic workers doing manual labor. Yet the federal, state, and local governments all strive to increase the education system so as to promote the competitiveness of the U.S., the state, the city in the global economy. If low skilled, low pay illegal workers are good for the economy, then why should school systems try to decrease drop outs and spend so much money on education?

I have a good friend who married a girl from Slovokia. She worked here legally until her visa ran out. The point is she could work doing minimum wage jobs with no real fear of getting in trouble. There would not be 10 million illegal workers here if we did not want them. But she would never be allowed to fill any position other than low paying work. It seams to be a double standard.

I should have pointed out, that my friend's wife is now legal. But when she was working illegaly she was offered any low paying job that she wanted but was told she could not have a management position, despite the fact that she had a Master's degree in Business.

If the United States did not throw up barriers to people who want to immigrate, there would be convulsively disruptive immigration - because, no matter how much you say you hate us - EVERYBODY, except the filthy rich in their American-like enclaves - would rather live here than anywhere else.

The US Govt has turned a blind eye to illegal immigration because they are heavily influenced by a legalized bribery system where the corporations who want that cheap labor can line the pockets of politicians to get their way. That does not mean the American People want illegals straining our health care system, our school systems and Police etc.

The cheap labor thing is a myth. The Corporations want the black market labor because they don't have to pay for health care, pay matching employer taxes, worker compensation insurance and so forth. Do they pass along the savings to us consumers? Of course not! They drop the savings directly into their own pockets. Who do they think they are fooling?

If you want to get into the US legitimately, and enjoy the fruits this country has to offer, then you are just going to have to wait your turn.

As for the illegals, round 'em up, ship 'em back to where they came from. No amnesty, no rewards for breaking the law. If I can't break the law and get away with it, they can't either.

Why is it so hard for you to understand that just because the American Corporations benefit from illegals, it doesn't mean that all Americans also benefits. Why it so hard for you to understand that an illegal, poor or educated if he's an illegal aliens he is still a criminal and we the USA don't want them here in the USA, even though the American Companies does. I don't think that there is a different between an educated criminal and a poor criminal, both are guilty. All illegals no matter "WHO's" have to go back to their country we the American citizens don't want them.. Please understand this, is not that hard, don't you think??? Before I go,, why do you say that we the Americans discriminated against the illegals, well let me ask you a question,, those the police discriminated against criminals, well if they do well, I guess we also discriminate against illegals.. Good luck

Excellent point. Keep in mind, that illegal workers don't sue you when you are a big corporation. They don't want to be caught and deported. American workers basically mostly know their rights and the legal so and so's out there are constantly advertising to remind them that if in any way, shape or form they even THINK they have been wronged ...give us a call for a free consultation.
We ALL pay for this. It cripples our society. It is ironic in my mind that on a civil level there is so much personal culpability yet on a governmental and corporate level, the good old boys have pretty much done a lot to stymie the legal beagles. Dragging things out for years. Covering up as much as they can to discourage from being found out.
Yep, we need down, dirty, dumb and doubious ones' to keep the work force as it should be. Ignorant Mexican illegals fit the bill to a T. Plus they are breeders. More warm bodies to sell to, less quality of life for Americans but more $$$$$$ for the already grossly wealthy. These "weathy ones", would shoot their own mothers for an extra buck. And they are doing that to us all as well as to the US at large by encouraging and fomenting the influx of illegal immigrants into the US.

Discriminate? Um, no, the educated ones can get jobs picking tomatoes just like the illiterate ones. Nobody is stopping them. The problem is the educated illegals think they are too good to work manual labor and want to get jobs in offices. Guess what? Offices don't need illegal immigrants, Americans will do those jobs, so they check the papers. That is not discrimination, just common sense.

What are you talking about, policy makes it hard for who? As far as immigration related, I don't care if you graduated magna *** laude at the prepa, you still need permission to enter, live and work in the US. So much has been done to promote education in the US but is it my fault that some people are too lazy to get out of the welfare rut. We as Americans and immigrants both legal and illegal have been provided with all the resources to better our lives, education wise. It is up to the individuals to take advantage of what he has been offered.

I'll be honest with you. i personally believe that those who come here illegally deserve no assistance whatsoever. It is a slap in the face to all the people that try to come here legally. I don't support discrimination by any means. Nor do I support enabling someone either. If anyone is here illegally whether they are educated or not, they should leave and not return unless it is through legal channels!

Because they are ILLEGAL aliens. It has nothing to do with education or lack of, or race or gender... It's simply because they are illegally living here.
