We are absorbed with how we look and what we have, and jobs and money rather then taking the time to focus on who you are sharing it with,,,
It's not how much you have going in life
It is who is going through that life with you
Yes instead of judging by the persons heart and soul, we judge them by their looks, checkbooks, and if they hospital and life insurance...They now have an organization for women that will check all of this out. It was on the news last week...I was really disgusted.
My mother always said to me first time you marry you marry for love
Second time you marry you marry for money...
But then she has never been happy

It seems apparent that you are not talking about people who actually know each other, but rather random people that are just viewed by the opposite sex. At that point, what criteria does a person have to base a judgment on other than looks. Unless they have some sort of psychic ability, they have no gauge other than looks. I disagree that once people have gotten to know each other that looks is their only criteria. I do see your point that it is difficult to show what you have to offer if they do not give you a chance in the first place, but I wonder if you are being a bit too judgmental about what is a natural appeal.

People do not want to think. It is easier to make a snap decision based upon appearance than to really get to know someone. It requires effort to get to know someone rather than just enjoy what they see.
I think all of this is changing as men are no longer dominating society. Women took a lot more time to get to know each other and the men in their lives throughout history since they did not have as much freedom as they do today. Women are not getting to know people as well as they used to, but they are helping men to get to know others more than they did in the past.

a person is born with a destiny, noone makes it for them they make it them selves by thier actions, but some things are ment to happen and others are just luck, i belive that there is someone out there for ever person from the moment they are born untill the moment they find them, just fallow your heart, thats the best start
