The best way to loose weight is to change your eating habits. Perhpas she is not loosing weight because she does not like the restrictions of a diet. Suggest to her to take a couple of high calore foods out what she eats daily. And to try mild exercise like walking.
Try not to make a big deal of her weight. She will loose weight when she is ready.

Start off by buying healthy foods to eat in the house such as whole grains, no more white bread or heavy meats. Nuts, and fruit is always good and things such as yogurt.
Stay away from Sodas and other carbonated drinks. Drink more water, green tea/diet teas (as they are good for your overall health and weight loss.) You can even get creative by making shakes out of bananas and strawberries..
Go walking or do some type of exercise at east 4 days a week for 30 mins a time. This does not mean, grocery store. Actually choose a time to go to the park, walk on the treadmill at the gym for a constant time and a constand pace. Consistency means a lot.
Encourage her and let her know her progress when there is in. Tell her how beautiful she is now and how you can't wait to see her transformation later...
Eat healthy and live healthy with her daughter. If you are over weight, or if you are not...this is a healthy lifestyle to keep anyway as it prolongs your life span as well as keeps you from diseases that can be avoided.
Don't starve yourself...if you REALLY have a craving for ice cream, eat ice cream...just do not over do it. Measure the amount that you feel you would normally have to go back from seconds, the trick is not going back for more. Exercise is all about training your body to do what you want it to do. You stomach will then in the process start to shirk and will now require as much food to feel "full". Remember that being "full" is phychological. You have to train your body to accept food only 80% fueling and 20% enjoyment.
Last but not least, I hope my advice helps your daughter, I think that if you follow this, it will and you and she will see a significant difference, especially in attitude.
Happy Holidays!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Well you should control the food in the house and make sure she eats lots of fruits and vegetables and ween her off the sugars. You should let her get a colonic to have her colon cleansed and that could also take some excess pounds off. She should get some exercise especially walking. She also should not anything except maybe a small snack after about 7pm. Have her drink lots of water too. When I was in the military basic training I saw this type of diet drastically change people's weight in just a few weeks!

Eat less, move more.
That's all it takes. 1400 calorie diet and work out 5 days a week. Do cardio and weight training (weight training will NOT bulk you up, it is not possible if you are on a diet). Get her a membership to the gym and get all the junk food out the house.
I'm 14 and so far have lost 26 lbs doing this. I guarantee this will work.

Lose 10 pounds
Lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks??
There are some websites on the Internet, which promise you that you are going to lose 10 pounds in every 2 weeks. If you are good in math you will find that keeping these stats in mind, 260 pounds in a year. Losing 260 pounds is the figure, which is unbelievable and unexpected.
This kind of claims are planned just to cause clients to make impulsive decisions. When you gain weight, did you gained around 50 minds in two months? Certainly not. We gain weight in weight in small parts, which add up to our weight. This keeps on increasing with time.
I think you get what I mean to say. We normally gain weight in grams like 65 gram per week. With this stat you are going to gain around 7 pounds at the end of year.
This weight is so slow that you cannot measure it weekly. But in fur years you are going to gain around 28 pounds.
So how can you expect this weight to go in few days? You are going to lose the way you have gained it. So it will take time to lose weight. So you have to start losing weight systematically. You can lose weight by developing the good eating habits in you and nutritious foods.

have you tried excercising and eating right with her? sometimes the only motivation that a teen needs is her parents. if you buy all the groceries, one way to start is to buy things that are healthy. dont make her give up things completely becuuse she will just want it more. You can eat what you want just in moderation. maybe you can start walking together everyday. make time for somethig that will change both of your lives. are there any community centers in the area that you can go to for mother daugher sports. anything you try will be better than watching her suffer. also, you might want to take her to the doctor and make sure that the reason she is not loosing weight isnt something more serious.

Not to be rude but you shouldn't flat out say that she shoudl lose weight. My mom said that to me when I was a teen and it didn't turn out pretty. My doctor said I was fine. Just cook her a helathy breakfast, pack her a healthy lunch, and cook her a healthy dinner.
Also because she's a teen, I don't know exactly how old she is but most teens when they see their peers all skinny and getting all the cute guys, they'll eventually realize they need to lose some weight.

Make sure to keep a healthy stock of food in the fridge including protein bars from the health food store (they taste just like chocolate bars), lots of fruit and protein shakes to munch on in between meals. Also, try to incorporate dinner time as family time where every member of the family sits down together to enjoy low-fat meals such as scrambled eggs and tofu, whole wheat spaghettis, lean chicken breast and lots of healthy vegetables to provide the bulk of the meal. Send her healthy lunches so she is not tempted by the vending machines at school. Make sure she excersises every day and maybe enroll her in a hip-hop class or pilates, if you guys are really close you might just wanna join her!!
Good Lauck!

Don't have unhealthy food in the house. Snacks and meals should be healthy options. Exercise together so it's not so boring. See a doctor for more help if it's really a serious problem. Counseling might help too.
