I love this question. As a mother of three darling girls, I love Christmas and the celebration of this very special Holiday.
I like baking cookies with my children and nieces, and the decorating is so much fun....I don't know who has more fun the children or me. My children, and neices do their own measuring, mixing, and I basically read the directions. (not a pro yet) So they also get their math skills in tune as well. This year we made home made sugar cookies, and peanut butter cookies from scratch.
My 12 year old always puts up the tree. My children, and my nieces helped to decorate the tree. My 20 month old baby even got her share of decorating. I like shopping with the children to choose the decorations.
It's the birth of Jesus, and you can see so much love in this season especially. People share with others. My children know that is important to help others that are in need. It's important that the lesson of helping others is demonstrated through me, and I like seeing the unselfish of my children. When I buy gifts for others that are need, they don't complain at all.
It's also nice to see how organizations reach out to families through programs such as Toys for Tots. That is really beautiful to see people being concerned about others. My daugher's class adopted a family, and I was thanking God for blessing me to be able to help donate items. In the past I have not always had the money to contribute. I've also received help from the Salvation Army in the past, and it's a blessing to be able to pass the spirit of giving on to others.
And of course I love shopping for my children, nieces, parents, and other family members. I love seeing the glow on their faces. My children and nieces are going to be knocked off their feet this year. They all have guitars, real instruments...even the baby. Can't wait till they play them!

Decorating the tree and house. My 19 month old learning how to say "Oh Look at that" because of all the christmas decorations and lights around town. Seeing my daughter do selfless acts like donating her money to charity and buying toys for less fortunate kids. The excitement my kids have on christmas eve, baking and decorating cookies for santa, and teh expression on my childrens face as the race down the steps and see the presents under the tree!

i'm an atheist, yet I nevertheless say "Merry Christmas". traditionally talking, Christmas hasn't constantly been a Christian holiday, besides. For some, it extremely is commemorating the delivery of "Jesus" (who, by the way, would have been born interior the Spring, as some technology shows), yet for some, it extremely is in basic terms an indicator holiday, like Valentine's Day. yet no, i are not getting offended while human beings say "Merry Christmas"; it extremely is in basic terms a asserting.

This will be my first Christmas as a parent, and I must say, the thing I like best about it is the excitement. I haven't been this excited about Christmas in years!

That pretty much depends on how YOU define "christmas". We celebrate the way the Pagans do, the way the holiday was ORIGINATED and not "stolen" by the Christians in order to convert the Pagans to Christianity.
