My friend, and I have gotten real close lately. She kept telling me that she hugs guys and everyone in general a lot. She then asked two times over about two weeks whether she could hug me or not. She got stopped both times by her brother. Then, she did hug me a few days ago randomly. She was happy with something I said and just did it. She then wrote later on AIM and apologized for breaking my personal contact zone. She said I gave her a strange look. I said it was ok to which she replied that she had to go. She then gave me *hugs* online and said just kidding. Is this a romantic desire of hers to hug me?

I have a similar situation right now. I've been hanging out with some people from work. This friend of mine (woman) has been hugging me, or at least trying to. The last time we hung out, she put her head on my shoulder. So, either she could be showing some romantic feelings for you, or she is just really friendly. Me, on the other hand, probably have a little bit of romance sent my way (I think). If it doesn't bother you, I would just accept the hugs she gives you if I were you. After all, maybe one of these days, she'll all of a sudden kiss you. Who knows? All I do know, is that she seems to definitely be a friend of yours (or is trying to be). Good luck!

in some cultures hugging is very common and it doesn't mean more than just an affection but in a country like India/Pakistan it's not very common. Some people don't feel comfortable being hugged. Because he wanted to hug you is not an indication of any romantic desire on her part per say but you are the one been hugged and you should know how passionate the hugging was. Having said this I think the her letter and all that is indicative of the fact that she is really interested in you. I bet you are right about your suspicion.

possibly. She is probably experimenting to see your reation and see if you are indeed interested in her? So if you like this chick my advice would to be to start hugging her randomly and she what vibes she gets? if she says something horrible or rejects you just use the excuse she did it first! If she doesn't say anything keep progressing and good luck

This girl has got some psych issues. I mean a 'hug', come on. Hugs, in fact, mean nothing more than 'we're close.' Or, 'I feel for you on that one.'
There's nothing sexual in a hug. 'Less of course you've got a giant woody when you're leanin' in.

She is a really touchy feely person its just her personalty. That nessesarily doesnt mean she likes you. The only way to find out, is if she says I LIKE YOU
