I need to copy software from 5.25 disks to 3.5,but don't have the 5.25 drive...can anyone help?

Or you can try your local computer shop - not compusa, I mean a small PC place. They probably have one being used a door stop or some such.

Look on Ebay, there is no other way except to have an actual 5.25" drive.

Try holding both disks together and then put them in a vice and then start tightening. If you hear a cracking noise you know it is working.
