THIS ISNT NEW, IN THE BIBLE IN GENESIS YOU SEE WHEN ABRAHAM HAD HIS TWO SONS, BOTH WERE GIVEN A BLESSING OF BIG GENERATIONS BUT ONLY ONE WAS CHOSEN AS THE NATION OF GOD, FROM THERE ON THERE HAS ALWAYS BEEN CONFLICT.

You missed one more group to complete the Love/Hate Triangle.

It is the Judeo/Christian/Muslim CONFLICT that has been going on for over a 1,000 years now!

It is the irony of all ironies: The THREE MAJOR Religious factions talking about the SAME monotheistic DEITY, having THREE DIFFERENT NAMES [YHWH/God/Allah] and Who is being worshipped under THREE DIFFERENT DOGMAS...

Each group has been fighting and struggling for their "right" to make a claim on the "Promised Land" where it all began...

If that wasn't bad enough, and to make matters even much WORSE, the Christian faction SPLIT itself up into 30,000 [!] other sub-denominations and have been QUARRELING with each other for the last 500 hundred years now --each one claiming to be the "true" Christian religion!

It is a sad commentary that the SAME "Message" being preached by all three has yet to reach the Hearts of Men.

Peace be with you...

There is? Where? Man, I must have missed that on CNN. Well, since I am a Christian, and my husband is a Muslim, do we get immunity?

I think that the war in Iraq has more to do with mans greed and the need for oil. It has little to do with true religion of any kind.

Jews don't care what others believe their too busy winning Nobel prizes and making money

Christians will tell you that your soul is in danger and you should accept Christ before it is too late.

Muslims in most of the would feel that they are justified in killing you if you don't believe as they do..so where is the Christian-Muslim war???

Because both groups are very violent and think that their God approves of killing anyone that doesn't think like you do! Just look at their bibles and you can see the God of those texts is just as violent as humans can be. This God does not demonstrate more self control or compashion. It is all about do this or face my wrath!

Because the Muslims want one. At least that is the way it looks to me. The Taliban imposed the death penalty on any Muslim who changed religions. Imagine the uproar if the U.S. did the same to Christians who wanted to accept Islam!

I didn't realize there was. Most religions that require you to force others to follow you or kill them are dangerous. I would say Muslims are at war with everyone else in the world who isn't Muslim.

I didn't realize there is one. I know of several wars that are being fought over political differences......the one we hear the most about is Iraq. Wars are seldom fought over religion-they are fought over greed for wealth and power.
