I am confused about this.

The bible says that people will go to heaven to be judged after the rapture. It says the bodies will fly out of the graves. But what happens when someone dies now? Where do they go?

Basically I am wondering when this judgement is supposed to take place.

Great question w/o any great answers. Essentially, we don't know. Paul has a few thoughts. Revelation is a mixture of that day symbols and for all time revelation. The rest of the Bible offers a mixed message along these lines:
a) From Saul's "seance" we learn Samuel arose from his "rest"
b) From Jesus transfiguration we learn Moses & Elijah are very much alive.
c) From Jesus' teaching, we know God is the God of the living.
d) From the OT we know the judgement begins w/ God's own people.
e) Theologically, we believe the judgement begins as the Spirit convicts of sin and leads us to repent.
f) Eschatologically (last times) there appears to be 2 resurrections and a 2nd death.
g) Ultimately the judgement occurs now, when someone accepts or rejects Jesus. The sentence is meted out later.

The way my pastor explained it and there are various thoughts on this, but here's his:

When you die (if you were to die tomorrow) you would be put in a deep "sleep". When the time came in the history of humanity for the rapture. People living would be taken from the Earth and the dead would "fly" out of their graves and sit at the Kingdom's gates awaiting judgement.

No one know what exactly is going to happen. The details are fuzy, but just know the Faithful will go to Heaven and evil will reside in hell. There is also something about Jesus coming back and putting the Devil in a cage, but I haven't read it all the way through yet.

Judgment has several phases. Right now we're deciding who to trust and the watching universe is judging (Rev. 7:3). When they're satisfied, we're out of here. Then in heaven the saved review the books for a thousand years until we're satisfied (1 Cor. 6:3). When we return to earth with the Holy City the wicked are resurrected (Ps. 109:28 ), get the full picture ("every knee shall bow" -- Rom. 14:11 plus 2 more refs), show for the last time what they're really made of, and die to ashes in the lake of fire. (Malachi 4)

What's death? Opposite of life! Reverse of the creation equation, dust plus breath equals life. Until God calls, (Isaiah 26:19), it's loss of consciousness (John 11:13-14, Eccl. 9:5,6; Ps. 115:17) when the spirit (breath and life force Gen. 2:7) returns "unto God who gave it" (Eccl. 12:7). Eternal unconsciousness, the "second death," is only for the wicked. (See Rev. 2, and 20, and 21)

What's happening now? We're responding to the Holy Spirit's last call. In that respect, this Is judgment day, or, as the prophecies of Daniel foretold, the "Day of Atonement." Soon it will be impossible to change our minds (Rev. 22:11,12), and things will get very exciting! (Rev. 7:3)

To be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord. Jesus promised paradise to the thief on the cross next to Him. It is a sure thing.

There is no purgatory or sleep for the dead. The soul goes on. Trust the Bible, not the words of men.

The Rapture of the Church is while Christ calls forth all believers, alive and ineffective, and that they upward thrust to Jesus interior the Sky. There are 3 different perspectives in this. First one is named Pre-Trib, that's the Rapture of the Church in the past the Tribulation starts off, and the non-believers are left in the back of. the different view is named Mid-Trib, it extremely is after the 1st one million/2 of the Tribulation, the Church is thinking with regard to advice from Christ to Heaven, the non-believers are left in the back of. The 2d one million/2 of the Tribulation is named the super Tribulation. The final is named placed up-Trib, it extremely is the place the full international is going by way of the Tribulation and on the tip Jesus takes the believers and the untrue perish. yet its not over yet for the unbelievers, after the Rapture has got here approximately, the human beings who're left in the back of nevertheless have of project to settle for Christ. they might in simple terms, like i discussed, settle for Christ and stick to him, and not settle for the Mark of the Beast and die for Christ ( im fairly advantageous it extremely is optimal ) interior the tip circumstances, it extremely is going to be rather perplexing for the non-believers to grow to be stored after the Rapture because of the fact they're going to settle for the super delusion on the Anti-Christ. Judgment Day or White Throne Judgment is while Judges each and anybody in accordance to what they have performed. i've got faith this happens after the only thousand 12 months reign with Christ. there's a action picture sequence surely referred to as "Left in the back of" i think of there are 3 of them now and the 4th one is unquestionably popping out this 12 months or next 12 months. Message me in case you decide on help please. I additionally communicate returned and forth on youtube. My call is MightyBrooks, deliver me a message on there as properly.

Do not be confused...Trust in Jesus and He will answer all that you desire and more in His timing and according to His will. Simply ask and let it come to you as a child, God is not an author of confusion, those thoughts are from an enemy trying to tie you up with doubt and fear. Worship God and let the dead go to the dead and the living to the living.
As to what happens it is a mystery...

12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

NOWHERE does the Bible say that Bodies will fly out of the graves...NOWHERE!!!!!!!

Judgements comes after the 1000 year reign of Christ on earth.

The day of jugement is for those who have not taken full advantage of the gift that God gave us of the death of Christ on the cross. This will happen after the second coming of Christ. Do you think that your deeds on this earth is good enough to pass?
