The standard size pool table is 4' x 8'. Cue sticks are 5' long. Add two feet all around for chairs, or space to move. My estimate works out to 18' x 22' minimum.

It depends on how big of a table you want but you'll want a room big enough to fit the table plus you'll want a pool stick distance away from the wall.
