Warts are caused by a virus. Viruses are contagious. You get warts from someone else who has warts. Nearly everyone gets a wart at some time or another during their lifetime. They can be easily treated by over-the-counter wart medicines. If they do not go away after using the over-the-counter products, go to your doctor. There are prescription medicines as well as liquid nitrogen that can be used to treat warts. Sometimes warts can be very stubborn and have to be surgically removed, but I would consider this as a last resort.

its a virus and you can catch them just like any other virus and some ppl are more likely to get it than others, just like any other virus. eventually it will go away on its own but products like wart away and compound-w will kill or at least inhibit the spread of the virus
