Get in the phone book and start calling local churches. The majority of charrity groups ran in the world are ran by religious organizations. Whether you are a part of their church or not they can still help. If they do not have any charity groups up and running at the time, they will be able to point you in the right direction. I am non-religious and this is where I started when I was young (12). I had no personal transportation other than my two feet so I joined a youth group that had the same goals as I. It was easier because where my parents did not have the time to assist in transporting, theirs did. Another way that worked for me was contacting my local health and welfare department, shelters in my area, and habitat for humanity is good too. Just remember not to get discouraged -- Its awesome that youre starting so young. I'm 21 and volunteer to date. Good luck!!!!!

I think it's great that you'd like to volunteer.
I'm sure there are so many community organizations where you can share your talents.
You could read to kids at a school or visit with old people in a nursing home.
You could teach art to kids. You could sort food at a food bank. You could even offer free babysitting in your neighborhood.
Don't let your youth discourage you from volunteering. I think you'll find so many organizations that will be happy to have you.

One suggestion I have is to contact any of the service organizations in your area, such as the Lion's Club, Elk's, Eagle's, Kiwanis, Rotary, etc. to see if there's a youth chapter in your area. Or you may be able to get information through a Boys & Girls club in your area.
If you don't have any luck with that, you might be able to get some ideas from your school. You could talk with your guidance counsellor, who should be able to give you a few ideas.
