he is sometimes nice and sometimes mean and around my uncle he attacks him any ideas to calm him down?

Well, neutering him might help, for one. And perhaps giving him his own space. Perhaps he's just not horribly social, you're playing too rough with him, or he just likes being left alone. Every cat has its own personality, and they won't tolerate people who cannot deal with that. Some are lovey-dovey, some are playful and some are just grumpy in general. You've got to learn their boundaries.

I give my cat catnip and he calms down. But each cat is different so see how your cat reacts to it first. The best thing to do is give him a toy or a treat for him to focus on while your uncle is around. I would also tether him to you while company is over so you can correct any bad behavior on the spot.

there is no way to make them nicer, they will actually get meaner with age. Its how they were treated when they were young and also its how thier fathers personality was
