The real question is why would you date some else and love another. If the person you love is not available you shouldn't really get involved with anyone else until you have resolved those feelings. It's not fair, and the innocent bystander will be the only real victim in this BS.

Yes, I have been very much in love with a gentelman for a very long time. It is one of those on again, off again things. But with the circumstances as they are, our relationship is unsure, but when we are together it is always very positive and fulfilling. When we have not been "in" the relationship I have dated. It is difficult when dating is being pushed to another level. That is why it is very important to be open and honest about what you want from a friendship vs. relationship situation, wether it is just for company or companionship. If you meet someone who can override the feelings you carry, follow it. If they "don't do it for you" be clear as to what your perspective of the relationship is. Don't lead them on blindly. Emotions and love are to easily damaged and squandered. But remember, if it is really love you carry it will never disapate, it is something that you just learn to deal with. Life goes on.

depends on wht u really mean by the word date...............a date could mean just a day out to a one night stand...........sooooooooo what exactly do u mena by date?well i dont thing its wrong to love a person and go out with another person(as in u hang out with friends ,go for movies ,dine out,etc....but i dunno if tht can be called a date, provided u r quite sure of wht u r doing, and wouldnt go any further than tht, like kissing,or making out or y even to let the other person touch u in anyway whcih is more than friendly)...dating or going out/hanging out with a friend even when u r in love with someone is not wrong, if u r sure u wouldnt cheat the guy u r in love with.

I think there is a big difference between being in love with someone else and just loving someone else. If your in love then I think it would be impossible for you to be with anyone else, least that would be how I would feel.

I have been married to someone, but been in love with someone else, its not easy to keep up the pretence, its better to be honest with yourself and go with your feelings.
