Make sure the pup has a kennel to go to. This will let the puppy feel safe, kind of like a den. Show the kennel to the puppy, and let it know it is a positive thing. Put toys in it, and make it comfortable for the pup. Use positive reinforcement with the pup. If there are some rooms you don't want the dog in, make sure to make this clear to the dog. When the dog is in the right room, praise it, and give it a treat. When the dog is in the wrong room, say "Uh Oh" and correct the dog by moving it to the right room. Eventually the dog will understand that when you say "Uh Oh" that it made a mistake, and if the dog moves out of the room and into the right room by itself, praise it. Same goes with furniture and bathroom. Goes to the bathroom in the house, "Oh Uh" and place the pup outside. Hope this helps.

what kinda puppy is he? Anyways at 7 weeks these guys can go for about an hour to 2 hours so I would take him out every hour and a half.you should always take him out after he eats and when he wakes.take him out when you first wake up and right before you go to bed. As far as getting to quit at night take a recently worn shirt get a ticking clock and rap the clock in the shirt and lay it with him at night. I would suggest a crate for nights and when your not home till he get potty trained and through the chewing stage. Good luck and have fun.
