I have been dating a man for 2 yrs. We have been having problems. I want to spend more time w/him, he seems to want to spend more w/o me; golfing or w/the boys at the bar, watching football every Sat. & Sun. He says I have an anger problem. As I see it, he just doesn't like to be confronted or challenged about his behavior. He was married before (is now a widower) and as I understand from mutual aquaintances, she stayed home and drank while he did his thing and did not contest him. Is there any possibility this guy will change for me????? We had a big fight over this issue 2 wks. ago. He called 2X's last Sat. nite and left messages, when I was out. The 2nd. one he say's, "if your there and don't want to talk to me, I understand that, if thats the case, so be it." What is your take on that??? I have not call him back, nor has he tried to get me since. With the holidays here, should I make an effort to contact him. Would you call his grown daughter and see what she says

He will only change, if HE wants to change. It sounds like you just need to have a heart to heart with him to resolve some issues. Also, maybe its time to evaluate your relationship.

The only way your gonna know what he thinks is to talk to him, and this needs to be face to face...If you think it might cause a big fight then at least write him a letter and see if he will respond to it, sometimes its easier to write it down, cause you can really exspress your true feelings that way without fighting..Hes probubly waiting for you to make the first move...So make it and get all this wondering over with!!!
