No concerns. My baby just got his first haircut (even though there really still wasn't much to cut), and he's almost 3! I've heard that once you start cutting/trimming baby's hair and getting all that baby-fine stuff out, it'll start coming in thicker and fuller - but I'm not sure if it's true or not. It seemed like that was the case with my older son - but it could have just been the timing, too. Enjoy that cute baby hair while you can - once it's gone, they start looking so much older and "growing up". They don't get that sweet baby look back.

There's no need to worry. I've seen kids who were 3 or 4 with sparse hair- they turned out just fine.

Some children don't get a full head of hair till after they are two. A friend of mine's baby looked almost bald till about three, then she finally looked like she had hair and it grew in fast.

That's not unusual my son didn't get hair till after he was 2. Plus the baldness gene is generally passed from the mother's side of the family not the father's.

I was almost bald until I was about 2 years old. THere are pictures to prove it. But eventually my hair grew in. Give it time. True baldness doesn't attack babies.

Don't worry, some kids just don't get much hair until they're older. Is his hair light colored? My blond 1 year old has only a little hair while his older brothers are both darker and had much more by that age.

Ask your parents and inlaws what age you and your husband got most of your hair. Or look back at both of your own baby pictures. Its not uncommon for babies not to have that much hair. My son didnt get alot until he was over 3.
