Use some regular Prell...the original green shampoo. It is REALLY good. Trust me....I have been there and done that! I washed my hair in the morning and at night with it and it lightened up! It only took a couple of days but I actually saw the dark color come out in the bubbles the first time I used it! Try it. It won't hurt your hair. I use Prell once a week to remove hairspray gunk!

I would honsetly just wait about a week and it will fade out on its own. I did the same thing and when I tried to lighten my hair, it tuned orange so I had to competely bleach my whole head to get rid of the orange and then put another color on top of the bleached out color. I love my hair now and the damage was not too bad but bad enough I wouldn't do it again. Permanent colors will fade out pretty quickly if you use a good shampoo.

hey im trainin 2 b a hairdresser at the moment and i would suggest using a shampoo called vosene its great if u have jus coloured youre hair as it will strip the hair of any recent colour without damaging it, also a temporary colour wash in wash out or a semi permanent should do the trick to camaflauge the exiisitng colour as these do not contain para dyes they are not harmful to the hair in any way x

Dilute a very small amount of laundry detergent and use this as a rinse for your hair. Repeat for about a week and your hair will lighten up a few shades.

Whenever you color your hair with permanent color you will damage your hair. I say use the shampoo in color or try going to a beauty supply store and use semi perm color. One thing to remember about over the counter color is it it 2 to 3 shades darker then the color results on the box. If you have brown hair use ash blonds so it wont gored. best of luck.

You're probably trying to save money by doing it yourself. But if you don't want to do further damage to your hair you should visit a licensed hair stylist. This way you can get consultation as well as needed treatments to prevent possible damage and or hair loss.
