Yes. The best way is to add it to the marshmallow mixture while it is still warm.

Green Rice Krispie Treats

You can certainly add the food coloring, but it might be more appetizing to do something like add in red or green M&M's, candied cherries, or something like that. Or to use a little bit of colored sugar, some crushed peppermints, or little decorative candies to make them festive. Colored crispy treats tend to be a little off-putting to adults, but adding a few touches of color can make them festive without also making them look artificial.

If you really want to get creative, you could get out the piping bag and the decorative frosting and pipe some decorations onto the crispy treats!

Yeah I'd say it's fine. Add it to the pot before you add the cereal. Food colouring is a bit runny, you might want to try the colouring for frosting/icing. If you use that you only need a teeny tiny bit! It's thicker, almost a melted marshmellow texture, so it might not 'damage' the Rice Crispies. Last thing you want is soggy Rice Crispies!

I don't see why not. You can also get rice crispy's that already come in reds and greens, so you won't have to add any color of your own. There will be original, red, and green colors in every one of your rice crispy treats that way.

Of course you can. Add it to the marshmallow mixture, but be sure to add a lot, especially if you choose red, because the colour will be very light. I have rarely done this at Christmas because of the pre-dyed Rice Krispies, but I do this a lot at Hallowe'en and Valentine's.

Yes , use a glass or stainless steel bowl, and use a drop at a time, if you have not used food coloring before it is very messy and can stain anything it lands on, even a formica counter top. so be careful.

Sure you could. Try adding some to the marshmallow mix. If that doesn't work you can always sprinkle multicolored sprinkles on top while it's still warm so they melt and stick in :)
