im 17 and i have been talking to this guy named joel for about 5 months now and we really have a connection. we went to winter formal together and we did hold hands. thats about it really. when we got to my house i went way over my head and asked him out. he said yes but the next day he told me he just wanted to be friends. i said it was ok.(even though its not) and we've talked everyday since. we talk till one in the morning! it feels like he likes me but im still not so sure. then yesterday i ran into a old crush named able and he kept asking me about joel and what was going on with him and me.(he saw us at formal) then he asked if we were going out. of course i said no and then he asked what would happen if he asked me out. i said i would say yes. which i would. then he told me to call him! i like joel but i always had a crush on able! either way i will never get to be with the other! help!

I would probably go with Able..he sounds like a more stable guy who knows what he wants. You're still allowed to talk to Joel thought, but he doesn't sound like he is into having a relationship. Waiting for someone to be ready is the worst, and you said yourself you've always liked Able :)

You should spend time with the person who has the most to offer. Since Joel is just a friend, it makes sense to date the one who IS interested in you - more than a friend. Joel can still be your friend. Call Able. He's the one who's interested. Just because you talk until all hours doesn't mean anything. You're just a friend that he can talk to. Don't read anything into it.

it sounds to me like you should go with able. i no u have feelings for joel and u think he is showing them back but u no that able likes you and would like to be with you now. there is always the future for other things to happen but rite now in the present go with the guy u no likes u
