No, but if you are not in reciept of a regular income I would highly discourage getting one simply because if you don't have an income how are you going to pay the money back plus the interest which they add on?

No, but it helps. Most credit card applications will ask who your employer is and/or what your annual income is. They do not double check this information, for the most part, and you can juat lie and make up an employer's name if you want. If you can't pay your credit card bills I wouldn't do that though. Too many young people these days are getting into all sorts of debt and ruining their credit. It is hard and takes a long time to rebuild your credit. Think about it, would you rather have credit now or when you have a family to care for when you may need emergency funding.

As far as I know if you have a hubbie in full time employment then you're OK. But if you'll take my advice....don't go along credit card route. Use a debit card then you'll only spend what you have and won't run up debts you can't afford. This unfortunately happened to me a few years back and I took out a bank loan to pay it all back. Took me over three years to pay it all and I'd never touch a credit card again. Its really scary to get THAT much in debt and having a credit card is just sssooooo tempting. Be careful.

You can get one with a lot of bank accounts, other than that all you need to do is make so much a month. I know people on Social Security that have credit cards.
