I have always felt very blessed to have children and to have the relationship with them that I do.

They accept me the way I am and they love me very much. They have seen me through a pretty intense lifetime of severe mental illness problems.

I don't think that in any way our relationship has suffered because of my illness.

Your daughter will probably feel the same way about you as she always has. Perhaps an explanation about why you act like you do will actually make the two of you closer.

I suggest you cut the crap and quit making excuses for erratic behaviour. Psychosis is just another copout to escape responsibility. How much did you pay a Sigmond Fraud to tell you you have that?

It won't hurt her at all--you should be open and honest with her. Children know when something is going on with their parents, and it's much less frightening for them if they understand. Make sure you and she both have plenty of support and that you have help when you need it. Check out this site for parents:

I'm sure your psychologist/psychiatrist would be willing to see both of you together if you need help talking to her.
Best of luck.
