What kind of cookies? Sugar? Make a loose icing with confectioners sugar and hot water with a little vanilla in it. Tint it, and drizzle over the cookie. This is a great icing for p'nut butter or chocolate cookies as well.

Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Easy cookie icing

1 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 tablespoons hot water

Sift sugar into a bowl, stir in corn syrup and vanilla extract. Add about 1 1/2 tablespoons of hot water and mix until smooth. If too thick add a few more drops of water.

You can add food coloring too to make different colors.
This is the recipe I used all week when I baked my cookies.

Here is a recipe that I just used last night and it turned out fantastic.....

2 Cups Powdered Sugar - sifted
2-5 Tablespoons milk

Whisk together until thick enough to go through either a pastry bag or a ziplock sandwich bag, that you can cut a corner off to squeeze icing onto cookies.

There is also gel food coloring out there at most supermarkets, they work a lot better than the old liquid.

Have fun --
