The lady above is dead wrong. Not all soldiers are womanizing heathens. And most would be pleased to correspond with you. You can get a soldier's contact information from www.anysoldier.com , or if you'd like you could write to me. I've been here for a few months, and I'm not going to post my address here, but you can e-mail me at aaron.butler2@us.army.mil . I'm happy to write back to anyone that writes to me, and I'll be here for about another year to do so. Thanks for your support, it's appreciated by all of us.

One of the best sites you can find is www.soldiersangels.org this was founded by a mother whose son served in Iraq on one of the first rotations and he wrote home stating he had pals not receiving mail, and soldiers angels was born. There you can personally adopt a soldier and agree to write weekly and send a monthly carepackage. Or, if a carepackage is to expensive you can be on the LWT -letter writing team and write to them, or they even have an epal program to get email buddies. I've had several soldiers I've "angeled" to I love it my children have written many and gotten letters back. I've even had them send me packages. I love it. This would be one of the best things you can get in to. You will love it. Thanks for wanting to help.

Don't leave out the Marines! You can also go to anymarine.com. Its basically the same thing as anysoldier.com, but its for Marines. I'm also in Iraq, and speaking from personal experience, we enjoy getting letters and emails from just about anyone, as long as they aren't hate mail and stuff. And just because we like talking to pen pals and such don't mean that we want to sleep with you when we get back. Most of us are well intentioned and just like reading to break the monotony and boredom of everyday life here.
