I would say play it safe and get a nice card and a gift certificate or a movie you know he really likes and doesn't have. Its personal because you did the research but it not to personal that it could mean you're more serious then you really are.

Just come out and ask him jokingly how much he's going to spend on you and see what kind of answer you get, most guys will give you some kind of hint. Or just come out and tell him that you would like to get him something too but want to know how much of a limit to set cause you dont want to look stupid with a cheap gift. If you just come right out and say it then it takes the edge off, its really not a big deal to ask him how much money he wants to spend, it is your first holiday together. He might even say that you dont have to get him anything, but if you want to be nice and have no idea on what to get him, a cd also works.

First off, its only confusing cause your thinking too much into it.When it comes to gifts, its supposed to be from the heart. gifts over the holidays is supposed to be about expression of feelings for someone. Not what you get or how much you spend.
If you like this guy, try and remember what it is you like about him so much. Use those thoughts and feelings as your guide.I am sure you can come up with something you can be sure he will like based on the kind of person he is.
And remember,Don't worry about spending alot. Some of the greatest gifts I ever got were not even bought, they were made by that person.Which I cherished because they took the time to do that for me.That showed how much they cared.Anyone can just go buy something that means nothing. Good luck.

Go easy on it...not too enpensive, something sweet :-) Does he like a certain band or singer? Or maybe he likes a sport? Anything you know about him so far, use it for an idea. Even a home-made gift would be ok at your age. Remember, don't go all out, because it might scare him off or make him feel like his present wasn't good enough. But if he really likes you, whatever you do would be fine! :-)

If you were just friends before when it was comfortable, remember what he likes. i'm sure you can think of something. things do not change because now you guys are a couple. there is no degree to what determines the price of your gift. i am not sure why you put in there about the kissing but, don't use that to judge how much you care or how much to spend.
spend what you can afford, make your own card, use a creative way to wrap it. he'll enjoy it anyway you give it to him because YOU gifted it! Take Care!

your younge so the best thing to buy him is a shirt that some kids around your age would like not to expesive tho because you don't wanna spend an arm and a leg on him and the relationship might not work out don't stress yourself if it gets to hard buy a card and put a few dollars in it and call it a day or go to the mall with him 1 day to see what type of thing he really likes

It shouldn't have come as a great surprise to you that a guy wants to buy his first girlfriend something for Christmas! Thought counts for a lot more than monetary value. Buy him a card, where you inscribe a message saying that you hope your relationship blossoms. And include a few items he likes - a can of his favourite beer, his favourite snack, a poster he'd like...

Damn... When I was 17 it was the thougth that counted. I was happy just to get something. At that age you are becomming a man. Get him something that will make him feel mature. Buy him a wallet, or a watch. Do not do the certificate... The are so not personal!!

Easy one.
Get him a CD. This way, you're looking at most a $20 investment. If you choose right, then he will enjoy the CD and it will be worth it as something he can listen to over and over and think of you when he does.
