Well... since he is an old earth creationist who uses a creative readings of genesis and the expansion of the universe to get six 24hr days (from the perspective of someone at the start of the universe, not us) ie. he doesn't distort physics, I don't think anyone in nuclear physics, would have a problem.

Tells you something doesn't it, that a creationist with an actual background in nuclear physics, supports the radiometrically determined 4.5 billion year age of the earth.

I don't know why they didn't take his class. If he is a young earth creationist I'm pretty sure the numbers he uses are all fudged. I like my science to be scientific.

What's young earth creationism? If it's creationism/ID by yet another name it would speak to a lack of intellectual rigor.

you ask this as though all physics professors were unable to overcome the fear of their own mortality. the great majority know that creationism is hooey.
