Most banks have credit surveillance system for a small fee that will also cover the cost of identify thief. Or if not just use 1 of 3 of the most reliable credit agencies... equifax, trans union, or experian, to check your credit, and if you notice something specious than question it and resolve the matter.

Contact all three credit bureaus and notify them that you wanted to put a fraud alert on your report. Then get your free credit report from each of the bureaus and review them. Dispute any and all accounts you feel are not yours. If there are any items that can not be removed that are not yours, you need to contact a lawyer.

You have to pay a monthly fee, but each of the credit bureaus offer this. The link below is for TransUnion's site.

notify the credit bureaus that you suspect fraud or identity theft and they'll place a freeze on it... You also have a chance to view your credit reports for free once a year and you can do this by going to www.annualcreditreport.com good luck!!

I wouldnt bother with that at all. They charge you fees and that is more money that they are getting that they dont need. Just cancel the card and get another one. Simple and cal all be done over the phone.
