It would depend on whether they were in the forest, where there was nobody around to hear it or any trees that fall or whether they were all squeezed into Montreal for the group burp - in which case, 8,347,234 Americans (all located North of Maryland) would hear it. If they were all over Canada no Americans would hear the zillions of esssentially small sounds (in the scheme of sounds) (although maybe some people in Alaska would experience an earthquake).

Well, ok, first off all, it's pretty unlikely that people would all burp really loudly at one time. But if they did, I highly doubt anyone outside of the city or area they're in would hear it. Much less someone in an entirely different country.
