you speak the Truth.
God says so, too.

I would avoid buying into self fulfilling prophecies
at all costs. It may not help the world's plight but I believe that there are many more people who don't want
full scale nuclear, biological and chemical warfare
just because a historical document has been used threought the centuries to promote political agendas
in the name of.
Perhaps my view is too idealistic.Maybe I'm the only
person that enjoys an amazing sunrise and everyone else prefers NUCLEAR WINTER,I really don't know.
Life is to be suffered at times, but the gifts of life are far too great to squander over where all this came from in the first place.

Well no one knows when the world is going to end, however the Bible does speak of certain events that will come before the end of days. Furthermore, I wouldn't think that you are being cynical, becase some of the events that are going on, in the world, right now make it easier to believe that we are near the end of days.

Cynical. Do you have evidence and a valid logical conclusion (based in reality, by definition)? What is your definition of "end" and "soon."
If all of humanity was wiped from the planet, the world wouldn't care. We've been here for about .001% of the world's existence. If we go, then it's just one more of the over 99% of the world's species that have become extinct.

Since I cannot know God's mind, I cannot say how soon the end will come. However, the Bible does indicate that we will know the season. It seems that the pieces are falling into place, but people thought that before. All I can say is that there will come an end, I just can't say when. So, my advise, live as if Jesus was returning tomorrow (live a life pleasing to God, love and cherish those around you), but plan as if He is not coming in your lifetime (don't sell the house and wait on top of the Mount of Olives.)

You have a basis for a point. Look at the world around you. Christians are slowly being persecuted for their beliefs. While it may not be that bad, the slow removal of Christian values from everything is a sign that the Antichrist will be among us. Will it be soon? Only God knows that answer, but there sure are many signs to say that it could happen.

This world will not end, even if Jesus came for His church today, for at least 1007 years.
Once He comes for His church, there will be 7 years of tribulation, and 1000 years of His reign on this earth.
Then this earth will end and there will be a new earth for eternity.
The only ones to suffer will be those who have not believed that Jesus is the Christ, and His Father is Soverign.

Actually, nobody knows when the world is going to end except God. However, some signs are presented in the Bible. These signs mean that the end is near. One, there are many deadly diseases that will spread all throughout Earth. Two, one nation will rise over others and there will war between them. Three, people will fight with each other.
Some believe that these signs already occurred in our world today. SARS, bird's flu and other diseases spread from nation to nation. Lebanon and Israel continues to war each other, and many crimes were committed each day. Does this mean that the end of the world is near? If it is, how near? Nobody knows. We cannot do anything but pray to God that He may guide us to His kingdom. God bless.

"Cynical" is the wrong word. What you're doing is forming a conclusion that is based on insufficient evidence, so you're not using logic by making that statement.
It is not being a realist. A realist deals in what is reality, and since nobody knows for sure if and when the world will end you're not dealing in reality.
