ging, al? hi, ging! there has been no crime committed yet. and when charges are filed, it has to hold up in court. the police probably know all those players, they deal with them daily. there is no way the police have the time nor the manpower to follow up on a statement like that. they can barely keep up with the tangible crimes

i forgot to add something- the gangs would give the reporter a new name : dead snitch

He did tell on him in a round about way. What if he did tell on him straight to the police? The police have their hands tied. All the guy did was make a stupid comment. The guy was altogether stupid for having the camera there in the first place. So the reporter has his story, got to go home and now there is yet another bit of documented proof we have a gang problem.

The Judaical/legislative branch of our government need to sit down and have some long thoughts and discussions on what needs to be done to curve this stuff. No doubt. More proof we need hand guns for one! Alot of cities/counties have a citizens police academy, I suggest attending it and finding out about your local police. One thing for sure is this has got to be corrected one community at a time from the inside out and it's gonna take involvement from the ones that obey the law...

Because they probably would not talk to the press if the press went to the police. The police are free to use the broadcast statement against the individual that uttered it. Broadcasting the event really IS notifying the police if you think about it.

The simple answer is because no crime has been committed yet!! You can't arrest people because you think they might do something illegal.

ok like if you talk that way it's like one thing ok? but when you like type that like way too it really like annoying. Do yourself a favour and drop the like and ok's and you will sound much more intelligent and probably get a better paying job. It is a very 80's thing to do.
