I think the main difference is the programs that are offered with it, and what features are available, mostly just things you don't need

I don't think so. I have the student version and it is good for everything I need it for, it is also less expensive. If you look on the mac website or call a mac store they should be able to tell you for sure.

it the same thing.. just get the regular office for mac..

The Student version does not come with MS Access and you can install it on 3 different computers
