I put it in the R&S section because I saw some people "confessing" it.

Running up your Y!A points. You can get to level 5 in a couple of weeks. It is really irritating to find a question you want to answer just to find you have hit your limit.

The annoying kind of gaming is where people answer all questions wit "2 pts"

Then again I can think of a person on here that answers everything with the trinity, but I don't think it is point gaming as much as a mental defect.

If people ask a question like...do you like this band? and someone says yes but really gives no reason why..that's point gaming. If you put in a few word answer about a topic you know nothing about, that's point gaming.

Getting points for nothing... usually when someone answers a question with a one word answer just for the 2 points

If you are refering to the people on Yahoo Answers, that meens they just answer questions to get points they have no attentions of actually helping anybody with their problem.

It's when people cheat in order to gain more points on this site. For example, I discovered two people who would always answer each other's questions and award the other "best answer" on every question.

Here's an example of a "point gamer":

Look at this guy's "best answers" and notice that he was chosen by the SAME GUY nearly every time.

That's point gaming -- dishonestly running up your points by opening another YA account, then voting your own answer as "best."

Isn't it when you don't really answer the question asked and then thank them for the 2 points...?

Well, at least that is what I think it is. :o)
