Whoa there!! I've known quite a few men and women who thought Velma was the "hot" one!
I think it depends on who you're asking.
Once you've had a woman of substance that you connect with, no pretty face with little content is going to suffice. Remembering that just because Daphne was "good looking" doesn't mean she was dumb. Beauty doesn't equal dumb.
You can be ugly and still be stupid, you know.

You never got to see what went on behind closed doors between Daphne and Velma. Shaggy loves his dog and Fred loves himself.

Daphne was more social, Velma was more of a home body.

Scooby doo is stereotype. Hot chicks always have to get the guys . . . plus Sarah Michelle Gellar is hot

cause she was wearing the skimpy dress and she had long legs. plus Velma was too interested in work and mystery's and Daphne was interested in her facial powder

You're kidding right? Daphne was smokin compared to Velma. Who would you rather date? Ugly Betty or Kate Beckinsale?

Well, maybe it's because all the guys fall for the less smarter, more prettier girls. And Daphne, just happens to beat her out.
Never thought about it.... But, good question.
